SecondLife ( R ) OZ Linden, a really great person

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting a new member of LL. Oz Linden, he is a a great person and seems to be very open to restoring  in world LL meetings.  According to Oz, Viewer 2 is here to stay, like it or not we are going to have to get used to this piece of crap.
I am so fed up with trying to sponsor V2, I'm not sure if I can do it any longer. The UI is unintuitive, and I believe LL is on a path of self destruction. I very much hope this is not the case. But give it up, Viewer 2 needs so much work, its not even funny anymore.
Kirsten and Hitomi are the only people that seem to get it. This Official SL Viewer is horrible, and I believe because of the Labs ignorance, I will be moving on to OsGrid.
Byeee LL, may you rest in piece. You not getting any more of my $

Hmmm... I have only one single problem with V2: it takes forever to Rez the world. If it weren't for the piss-poor performance, I'd use it a lot more than I do.

Yes, really.

I genuinely believe V2 is a good viewer (except for the ridiculously abysmal performance) and it is fine for new users. The problem for the rest of us is that we are years of training in the old interface.

lots of people say that the viewer would be better if they scrapped the interface. I am sure that will improve - what scares me is the amount of bugs in a piece of software built from scratch, and as Ari says the performance is so poor that they have now resorted to reducing 'Low' settings in the viewer to below those in 1.23 and it is still much slower. That will need more effort to fix.
