Mesh is currently available on 20% of the grid. I have uploaded a mesh column in the corner of a square on our family sim (but it looks like a blue-grey cylinder unless you use the mesh viewer for now).

LL are throwing lots of resources at getting this to work. When I reported a problem I was having, a few hours later a Linden turned up in-world to help and then was joined by another two, and they fixed it for me.

The way they are doing it is quite sensible - even though I think some viewer work is looking a bit rushed. The keener people are already testing it and giving feedback so that hopefully most bugs will be sorted before mesh impacts the lives of most residents.

I wish they would leave SL alone with the bells and whistles and concentrate on fixing things like crashing, rezzing etc.
This mesh thing is the reason for new viewers etc etc. and causing too any unstable problems.

I expect it will be grid-wide and visible in Viewer 2 by the end of August.
