Time for another rant

Mister Acacia is online

At least I think I am. It's hard to tell if it's the group chat servers that don't give a crap about my messages, or LL. It's damned frustrating when you post, and after some undetermined period of time (sometimes instantly? WTF!?) I get that error:
The message sent to [your group] is still being processed.
If the message does not appear in the next few minutes, it may have been dropped by the server.
Error making request, please try again later.
May have been dropped? How will I know? How long do I wait?

This is totally unacceptable, Rodvik. Time to retire that frickin IMSAI group chat server and upgrade. Maybe a ZX-81 can do a better job?

I understand that LL have been trying to fix group chat for a long time. But I'm here to tell you that an error message that says my post might be deleted is just lame. How about you change it? How about you just delete the message instead of raising our hopes? Delete the message, tell us you deleted it and we can move on.

I'm a premium member, Rodvik, not that it matters. But exactly what am I paying for here? OpenGL errors? Failing group chat? Disappearing inventory for which I can expect ZERO support?

Yeah, thanks for that. If LL can't make it work, sell it to someone who can. This is getting just ridiculous.

I think it is time to give up on group chat, group notices and notecards. If MySL starts to provide lists or group lists, we could shift to that. In the meantime, we can use Google circles, or facebook groups
