OpenSim : HyperGrid Vs. Project Sansar : A cruel Joke or 1 Finale nail in the coffin for Linden Lab?

By Avatar JayR Cela

Please do not forgive me when I state again that Project Sansar is a dead before it launch's bet at best. If you have something intelligent to say that contradict's  my way of thinking, please feel free to state your case.

I had to laugh the other day watching  Ebbe Linden demonstrating to members of the Wall Street elite how to move furniture around his Virtual apartment, all the while trying to keep his balance, and not fall flat on his face from tripping or slipping on some random object on the RL floor surface beneath his feet.

    Let's get real !

I think Sansar's success will depend on how much content it starts out with, and then manages to snag the interest of other developers and content creators in as quick a manner as it possibly can. That is why I think that they are opening it up so soon, to try and beat other rising platforms to the punch. The whole thing is being floated financially on their Second Life product, but I think they will have to open a scalable demo world that mimics Second Life in order to draw their content creators away from Second Life.

Hey there Lord,

I'm placing my money on Augmented Reality ( HoloLens ) and I'm not even a big MS Windows user. The simple fact that you will wearing something the size of a Scuba Diving mask, and probably be on your feet at least some of the time, completely shut off from your immediate RL surroundings, and the current lofty price of entry for a wide variety of still non standardized with some of certain questionable quality merchandise, spell out to be one major FLOP on Linden Lab's hands.

Thanks for taking the time to post your comment Lord. Catch up with ya later.
