Virtual Worlds : What Ever Happened To The Imprudence Viewer ?

By Avatar JayR Cela

So what ever did happen to the Imprudence Viewer ? Your guess is as good as mine, once well known VW developer, MaCabe Maxsted left the project it seemed to just quietly pass into oblivion. Not that I really care, never did like the Imprudence Viewer very much anyway.

And the Kokua viewer, the SecondLife V2 compatible virtual world client never even got off the ground. No big loss there either, the early versions I saw of it were pretty lame to say the most.

If you goto the Imprudence website you will be greeted by a very old post, a Thanksgiving holiday version of, it's been A Wonderful Life, and several other's, but our focus now is on the Open Sim virtual world environment. The team has created the Aurora OS Server, witch is quietly gaining a lot of respect and die hard devotee's in the Open Sim Metaverse.

Imprudence Viewer, may it R.I.P.
Long Live Aurora-Sim !
