Don't hold your breath for to long, you may turn blue, but believe me when I tell you that Media on a Prim in a V1.x viewer ( contrary to what LL and anyone else has lied to you about ) is possible. Just give it a little bit of time, my inside connection's tell me that Viewer 1.x Is Not Dead.
