The Steam Machine may seem like a dead whale in the water to a lot of folks, but the contributions to the open source and closed source video driver landscape have been phenomenal. We actually have working Intel ( my favorite processor of choice ) graphics / Noveau / Wayland / Vulcan / this is mind boggling the recent progress. Nvidia and AMD have new drivers out. None of this would have happened without the Steam Machine.
In the long run the Steam Machine may crash & burn, however you can not deny the importance of this milestone in history.
And I don't really care for Windows 10 to much, LOL
