More Boat Racing : Open Sim : 3rdRock Grid : Thank You Mike Hart

Please excuse the mess, we are still trouble shooting a few minor issues, and I am so embarrassed I forgot to mention Avatar Mike Hart for his generous contribution of the Jet Ski rezzers. We did modify them slightly by adding a texture to the back facing side, and re-positioned them so when touched the object is in the water and ready to ride. These are incredibly easy vehicles to use, and a ton of fun. You just have to try it out for yourselves. The Boats and Catamarans were purchased on the Kitely Marketplace, developed by the very talented Kayaker Magic, and so many thanks go out to Avatar Ilan Tochner for making this wonderful market place available to all Open Sim residents.
I would also like to thank Avatars Zinnia Frenzy, Kered Owl, Eldovar Lamilton, Dolfke Barbosa, Kylie Brimmer, and numerous other people that have been putting up with me as I have been building this region. I could not have done this without their help.
If you have never been to 3rdRock Grid, is OK you do not need to be a member to enjoy the fun, and I do still have some complimentary FREE land with 1000 prims available if you would like to establish a home here.

Boat Racing : OpenSim : 3rdRock Grid : Now Open For Public Testing

Well we have been keeping this under wraps for a while during the building phase, don't get me wrong, as we are still involved with that process. However the time has come to open this new 3x3 Var Region to the public ( that's the equivalent of 9 standard sized regions in Second Life ) We have free to use sail boats, catamarans and jet ski's, some free to copy jet ski's and a speed boat too. So if you are looking for something fun to do and you enjoy tooling around a huge lake in a virtual world, stop on by and help us iron out the few remaining bugs.
You don't have to be a member of 3rd Rock Grid to enjoy the fun, Oh yeah I all most forgot to mention that our servers have recently been upgraded with the addition of all Solid State Drive's so the place is very responsive. Don't worry if you crash or loose one of the free to use or free to copy vehicles, as that is part of the testing process. Here is the hyper grid jump,

My New Sim - 3 Parcels of Very Nice Complimentary Land : 1000 prims each : Are You Migrating From SL or INWZ ?
Hi there
It's been a while since my last post, I have not forgotten anyone or abandoned Open Sim and the HyperGrid, just a busy RL schedule has kept me hopping, now I'm back, with lots of good stuff to share.
If you recall, several months ago I had mentioned a new HyperGrid enabled Sim with complimentary land I was about to make available, that deal did not turn out as planned. However thanks to the nice folks over at the The Stitching 3rd Rock Grid Foundation ( a non profit in Open Sim ) I have finally been able to open 3 choice 1000 prim parcels of land at no charge ( that's 0.00 $ ) for a limited time, and the opening just happens to coincide with the upcoming Rob Stock Music Festival ( an annual fund raising event for Doctor's Without Borders, that last year managed to raise $2000.00 US for a very worthy cause. )
All 3 parcels have room enough to build on the surrounding waters.
I am looking for 3 people, possibly migrating or considering too, from SecondLife, InWorldz or another ( Walled Garden ) grid that enjoy building, landscaping and decorating, and the 1000 prim parcels are just the starting point. 3rdRock, one of the oldest and still existing Open Sim Grid's out there, has seen it's up's and down's over the years, however it is currently in a state of unprecedented reliability, not a lot of bell's and whistles, or massive amounts of prim's per region, just rock solid stability.
Currently looking for people to help with the redevelopment of 16 core regions. This is truly a wonderful opportunity for the right person(s). not only will you have free complementary land to develop for yourself on my own personal sim, you may also be able to share your creative talents redeveloping up to 16 of the core grid regions.
The sim has it's own free-shop, and just about everything on the region is Full Perms.
With this weekend being the 9th annual Rob Stock Event you will also be able to meet not only the Core 3rdRock Grid Team, along with the Stiching 3rdRock Grid Foundation members, but a lot of other nice people as well.
We have a great line up of very talented people in store for your listening pleasure.

Microsoft One Drive Users Take Notice : Your free storage is about to be slashed !

Although not directly related to Open Sim, a number of people I know of regularly use either MS One Drive or Google Drive to preserve or upload and share their OS picture's and other projects and or portions of their work. Well as of this coming Monday Feb.1 2016 your free 15GB of free storage on One Drive will be slashed from 15 to 5GB if you don't act quickly.
