Blogger and Wordpress both have blog directories. Listing is your choice whether to appear in that directory at all.
Search engines will crawl your entire blog, including every single post you make and every word you write. Allowing search engines is just like any other web site. Turning this off will add the meta tag to every page that tells search engine bot to not index the pages...
Meaning your contetnt will not appear in search results on search ingines.
Those are the differences between these two options.
