If you are a Win XP user and also take advantage of the Windows Live SkyDrive feature you may have noticed that silently over this weekend SDExplorer had an update to 3.1.xxxx, it seems the only change that was made was to lock out XP users from being able to access the service.
This was a huge disappointment for me, I was grandfathered into the old 25gig capacity last month, as MS lowered the maximum storage capacity of SD to 5 or 10gig's.
So what are you supposed to do ? The answer to that is easy, just open your favorite search engine and start looking for the most recent previous version of SDExplorer, it will be a 3.1.xxxx release also the only difference you will notice is a depreciated .xxxx in the version numbering scheme, and a slightly larger file size compared to the most recent version.
The next step is to un-install SDE ( preferably by using a dedicated un-install utility and then a registry cleaner. You may want to reboot the machine afterwards ) Now install the version you just downloaded, during the process be sure to un-check the Automatic Update box, you should be back in business.
