Ok all of the folks out there still running Windows XP, Haaa-Haaa, just kidding, You are going to have to do something soon. If your not in the mood to buy a new computer, I would say save all your stuff, pictures, music what ever to somewhere.
( a thumb drive is good / and they are cheap about $5 bucks for 4 or 8 gigs )
Save that stuff and install LINUX / Haaaaa-Haaaaaa
Look I'm gonna keep on saying, over and over again, ya gotta give Linux a try. There is nothing to be afraid of here in Linux land, it is just another Operating System.

Linux is most certainly your friend. If you have a newer dual core with 2G or more or ram, Linux Mint Cinnamon looks so much like Windows you will hardly know it is different, except it will likely run faster. For people with netbooks and older single core machines, you might want to check out LUbuntu. Do a google image search for these and you'll see a screen layout that is very familiar. And I've found Linux to be more reliable and run much faster on a given machine. They even come with a full office suite pre-installed. And installing additional software is as easy as it is on an Android phone.
Good luck!

What's the best and busiest open source grid to live on apart from Second Life running Linux? Or is that a topic for a completely different thread?
Hi there Anonymous,
hmmmm, that's a really befuddling question, I have not had much time to explore any of the Open Sim grids lately.
I think OSGrid and InWorldz are probably the 2 largest. But not necessarily the best depending upon what you wish to accomplish in a Virtual World.
A very good friend of mine Tommy Parrott, formerly a SL resident and astounding artist extraordinaire, and the the genius behind the light shows for the RL Australian based band Space Junky during there performances in SecondLife. So to make a long story short.
I just happened to see him online recently ( he has not been here in SL for quite some time now ) as he was removing all of his content from SecondLife, we spoke briefly and he recommended 3rdRock Grid.
I have an account there from day 1 not had a chance to check it out for at least a year or more, according to Tommy it's a really happening place. / LOL :_))) / that's Tommy for ya, real kool person, I would look him up, as a matter of fact look me up too, I'll be having some free time this week to go grid hopping, I have accounts on OSGrid, InWorldz, 3rdRock and a few others I can't think of right now
Haa-haa / thanks for your your comment and reading this blog.
