Ok due to a verbal NDA I am unable to provide screenshots or much information about the next release of the upcoming Phoenix FireStorm Viewer for SL and other various virtual worlds.
But I can tell you this much, the next version will leave everyone else in the dust !
Yes they skipped the V3.2.x naming convention, and for good reason.

SecondLife and FaceBook / Are You Crazy ?

Call me old fashioned, or not hip or with the current trendy stuff in Real Life. But as far as I am concerned if you are connecting your Real Life and your SecondLife together on FaceBook, I would hope that you have a very good and sound business reason to do so.
Yes I do have a SL FaceBook account, but it in no way shape or form connects to my Real Life Identity, it is strictly there for one purpose and one purpose only. and that is to promote my sometimes mindless ramblings on this Blog ( and I hope you notice I still refuse to offer any lecherous scum bag advertising here )
I killed my real life FaceBook account a long time ago, once I realized it was nothing more than a Big Brother in Disguise Gigantic Database of Personal Information Gathering and Dissemination.
I have recently started to fill out my SL FB page and am gaining some new friends. But it is strictly about SL and possibly a few other Virtual World environments. And that's it !!!!! PERIOD !!!! Plain and Simple.
I have said this before, and I am going to say it again. I come to SecondLife to relax and enjoy myself, and escape from the real world, at least for a few hours a day. Why and the Hell would I want Real Life mucking things up in this virtual paradise.
And the next person that comes crying on my shoulder because her or his SecondLife romantic relationship is on the skids, is going to get not only a smack upside the head, but orbited into the SL void as well.
Wake Up ! This Is Not Real !
It is a fantasy virtual environment.
Unless you are using the platform in order to make real life money, or happen to have unfortunate RL circumstances.
If I have offended anyone with this post.

Ok I'm back making a statement that I should not have to make again !!!!!!

I want to wish all our readers and contributors a very joyous holiday, however you celebrate. May joy be part of your life and your home. May you prosper in the coming year. May your feast be bountiful, your life blessed and your stocking stuffed.
This is the time of year when well wishes and smiles seem more abundant than usual. Even in the Phoenix/Firestorm Viewer Support group there is less anger and more patience. I like supporting people who just want to get the problem solved. I like supporting people who are angry or "difficult" to support because, even if they don't thank me for helping, at least I helped. I hope the smiles and courtesy will continue. I'll certainly try to help that, too.

SecondLife Machinima : Breaking News : The ViPER ViEWER 3.x To Be Released Soon !!

Well this particular viewer for SL has been rumored for quite some time. It is Viewer 3 based and designed from the ground up especially for Machinima Projects. The lead programmer is well know SL movie maker supreme Tikaf Viper, and will be available very soon for Windows, Mac & Linux, besides the standard advanced V3 feature's it will include an advanced physics engine, including hundreds of pro motion capture animations.

Why Cant't we read legacy logg file's?

SecondLife : "Why Does Viewer3 Suck ?" "Why Do Most People Continue To Use Phoenix ?"

It's rather obvious to many long time SL resident's that, V3 is a no-show in so many respect's. I am completely disgusted. An over sized camera control. An inability to selectively mute group chats. An inability to read legacy log files. Inability to edit your jewelry other than the arrow thingy's. Idiotic piece meal attempt's to correct problems that should have never been created in the first place.
Everywhere I visit, I'm not sure of the actual percentage, but most people are using Phoenix, or FireStorm. That is except for the noob's that just don't know any better.
As an example I just took a look at the recent Dolphin 3.2.x release. I'm probably gonna piss a number of people off in the next few days as i rip a new A-Hole into any attempts to prove to me that Viewer2 -V3 was a wise investment on the Lab's part.
Ok so supposedly the code base is more modular. Big deal ! Henri Beauchamp has proven that the majority of features can be, and have been back ported into the V1.x based code.
Do you really wanna look at this horrendous clutter ?

SecondLife : Eek ! : I Deleted Half My House ! "Oh My" And The Importance Of Customer Service

OMG ! I feel so silly, LOL, yesterday I had rezzed a semi transparent item in Cathy and mines home. And you think after 6 years I would know better to check I have the correct item selected before I delete it.
So to make a long story short, I did a click and delete, instead of a click and take into inventory, which would have alerted me that I was not the owner beforehand, Cathy actually purchased it. So poof, half the house disappeared.
I contacted the Estate Owner, and requested a roll-back. After 12 hours he had still not received a response from LL. ( Typical behavior from The Lab ) So what was I to do in the mean time waiting for Cathy to get back home next week ? Well I clicked on the remaining portion of the house and contacted the creator, Ace Albion.
Within 2 hours I got not 1, but 2 updated version's of our home. [2011/12/08 15:42] Second Life: Ace Albion has given you this object:

Over the years, I have come across some really fantastic and incredibly creative content creators in SL, and have made it a habit to introduce myself and support them by recommending their services and products to other people I know.
The point I am trying to make here is ! The SLMarket Place is not the place I want to do my shopping at. I prefer to go to someones shop, store, or simm, and just look around. It is so important to support your favorite places by recommending them to your friends.
So if you would like to meet a really wonderful person, or just so happen to be new house shopping. Ace Albion's / Ace's Spaces Park Life Prefab Home's is a great place to start.
