I hope this post gets through the lag

Why are Linden Lab allowing problems to go unsolved FOR YEARS while spending any time at all on a new viewer?

The rumors are that a replacement system, XMPP, wasn't scalable for the message and user volume SL groups encounter. This after, what, 4 years of fiddle-farting around with it? After already turning down a previous system that was also unscalable?

Chat lag has been around for a very, very, very long time. We saw what appeared to be a fix around June 2011 and lag was almost non-existent. It was amazing to be able to actually communicate at near-real time. Then lag made its way back more fervor than ever. Better than half of my posts just don't make it in. I get that stupid error message. It's only slightly less irritating than if the message said "you're fooked, we deleted your message."

Fix it, Linden Lab
Fix it
Stop developing for a month
Stop add new crap for a month
Focus all that wonderful talent and the fiscal resources you were going to use for developing new crap and put it into fixing the chat system.
Just
Fix
It
