Well it's about time, according to inside source's, someone at LL has finally woke up and said HEY !!! Viewer 3 has a crappy UI,
Dam it's about time.
Ya know it has taken me a while to get used to the Phoenix FireStorm Viewer, and I still use Phoenix when building or creating content. But let's take a look at software creation.
Viewer3.x has a Modular Approach. Viewer1.x has a Procedural Approach. In other words if you are going to add new function's into a V1.x based product, your going to have to take the Brute Force design workload that Henri Beauchamp has chosen. Ton's and ton's of new individual lines of code need to be written, debugged and compiled. Hardly a minor task.
Is it worth the time ?
NOOOOOO !!!!!!
GIVE IT UP !!!!
It's not worth it, and beside's your holding up progress.
Big changes are coming soon to SL, NPC's will be one, the ability to easily create RP games within SL will be another. All this should start to be visible sometime around December this year.
I have said this over and over again, SecondLife is a very unique place. you either gonna use Viewer3, Starlight, or FireStorm. Viewer 1.x is A DEAD ISSUE !!!
