The Phoenix Viewer ( post .373 versions ) have all given me annoying problems when it came to streaming music in SL, on my Ubuntu Studio 10.10 Linux box. This problem starting with the .725 right on through and including the new .977 Beta. The problems ranged from no audio at all, to stream doubling, or a 10 to 20 second delay before the stream actually started playing.
I tried everything I could think of, various different tweaks to the shell script, making sure I had all the correct Lib files, and add ons. Finally I just said the heck with it, and put up with the 10 second delay. Then last week I decided to just ask for general help considering streaming audio and Linux, in A Phoenix Viewer Support Group chat session. Someone promptly offer to help me. We opened a separate direct IM session with one in other, and here was their solution. Open the PhoenixViewer-i686-1.5.1.373 Folder
Next open the Bin folder.
Then copy the llplugin Folder, and the SLPlugin File. Use these to replace the same, in a more current version of Phoenix.

Now if I could just get QuickTime stream's to work on Linux in SecondLife too / LOL :_)

I really wish I could remember their name, that person actually deserves the credit. When you think about it the Phoenix client is the best thing that has ever happened for SL

Are any edits necessary for the Snowglobe file? Like placing/removing # signs? I had to remove the one before export LL_Bad_openall... AND the one before
export LL_ Bad_ Fmod ESD
Still got a delay of around 125 secs before music comes on.... What did I do wrong?
