SecondLife : Viewer3 And The Broken Stuff : Camera Control Ruler

By Avatar JayR Cela

Ok I'm getting sick and tired about arguing with certain developer friends of mine, I realize we all will have to eventually convert to the V3 platform. ( Actually we need a Viewer4 ) So what am I bitching about today ?

Something most people in SL will never use, unless you are a builder. The Ruler Control. It allows you to change the central access configuration while moving objects. Here is an an example in a V1.x viewer

Notice the X-Y axis in the Ruler Option Check Box, Local, and now the Reference or World selection.

It's pretty easy to see that the X-Y axis changes, as a builder it is very easy to figure out that this can come in handy from time to time. So why in the heck did the dummy's at LL break it ?

Here is the same screen shot with the most recent version of V3

Does not matter, They Gave Us The Platform, But WE BUILT THE WORLD

These feature's no longer function. thus as much as I wish to embrace Viewer 3, I can't It's a piece of SHIT !!
    Someone fix it please!

JayR Cela :(
