Basically the standard SO3D viewer download is Henri Beauchamp's Cool Viewer with some modifications, or you do have the option to download a custom version of The Phoenix Viewer as well. There is now also a Face Book app available also.
Over all I found the standard viewer to be rather annoying, and the entire grid itself rather devoid of people to interact with. Ya can't beat the pricing though.
Is it worth your time, probably not. At least in my opinion
