Yesterday was the Gran Opening Party for the Phoenix / FireStorm Support Island, actually it was really intended to be a load test, with most of the attendee's encouraged to wear script heavy clothing, resizer scripted hair, and accessories etc... that and you sprinkle in a handful of Meroo's ( those little self breeding critter's in SL ) running around and about, caused just about everything to crawl to a near halt with Lag.
Once the threshold was determined, everyone relaxed and the gathering pretty much turned into one big question and answer session. There was an excellent turnout, and everyone seemed to have a very good time.
Kinda make's ya wonder why LL doe's not hold more event's like this on it's own initiative, instead it seems to take a 3rd party developer group, to do something the Lab should be doing on a regular basis.
